Not my chops will be equally yummy |
This is one of my favorite dishes. I like to use boneless chops when possible but the bone-in chops are cheaper. You can also substitute mushroom gravy for brown gravy. I like the mushroom because it adds another flavor for around the same price of the brown gravy. Whatever choices you use for your chops, they will come out great!
Ingredients: Pork chops, 1-2 cups gravy (canned or packet), oil
- In a heavy skillet or large pan heat two tablespoons of oil over medium high heat
- Salt and pepper both sides of the chop
- Sear both sides of the chops in the pan until golden brown.
- Pour 1/4 cup of water into the bottom of the pan.
- Cover for 5 minutes.
- Add in 1 cup gravy.
- Let chops simmer in gravy until cooked through.
- Season to taste.
Serve with rice or egg noodles. Caramelized onions would also be nice with this recipe.
