The author has created 16 easy to read chapters of everyday ways to grow spiritually while serving others and thereby, serving the Lord. Each chapter is filled with a story from the Bible, re-written in a way to apply it to modern day situations and backed up by powerful scripture. With the message of compassion and serving others, the author shows us how to see a need and do something as simple as offering to help, or earnest prayer in dire times.
I can say without a doubt it has been a pleasure and a growing experience to read this book. It has opened my eyes to seeing God's plan for our compassionate service to others. Today as I was traveling on the city bus, I found myself applying my readings to my surroundings. There was a blind elderly man who boarded and two women who helped him - the first, as he got on the bus. The driver waited for the second woman to return from escorting the man from the bus to the train station. All three saw a need and not just wanted to help, but acted upon it which makes the difference. This book is for anyone who wants to make a difference in the lives of others.
I am looking forward to seeing what opportunities God has for me to serve others.
